Abseiling Technician (IRATA Levels I / II / III)


About the role

Location: Turkmenistan (Full-time, Onshore & Offshore).

We are recruiting IRATA-certified Rope Access personnel to support inspection and integrity-related field activities on onshore and offshore oil & gas assets in Turkmenistan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rope access work in accordance with IRATA requirements, site procedures, and permit-to-work systems

  • Support inspection and integrity activities at height and in difficult-access areas (structures, piping, vessels, and plant equipment)

  • Assist with inspection and corrosion monitoring tasks, including field measurements and condition observations, as assigned

  • Maintain accurate records, daily reports, and inspection notes to a high documentation standard

  • Follow site HSE requirements and ensure safe execution at all times

  • IRATA Level III: lead and supervise rope access operations, ensure rescue readiness, and coordinate the team’s daily work and reporting

Requirements

 

IRATA Level III (Rope Access Supervisor)

  • Valid IRATA Level III certification

  • Minimum 5 years experience supporting inspection/integrity activities in oil & gas live plant environments

  • Demonstrated ability to lead rope access teams for inspection and maintenance support tasks

  • Strong rescue competence and solid understanding of HSE requirements for rope access operations

  • Good general knowledge of NDT methods

  • Offshore topside experience (structural/mechanical/piping environments) is an advantage

  • Good English (written and spoken) is preferred

 

IRATA Level II

  • Valid IRATA Level II certification

  • Minimum 3 years experience supporting inspection/integrity activities in oil & gas live plant environments

  • Familiarity with common oil & gas standards/codes and ability to work with drawings (GA, P&ID, equipment drawings) is preferred

  • Rescue competence and strong HSE discipline for rope access operations

  • Additional certifications are an advantage (coating inspection, inspection data systems, AutoCAD, RBI software familiarity)

  • Good documentation and reporting discipline; computer literacy (MS Office) preferred

  • Good English (written and spoken) is preferred

IRATA Level I

  • Valid IRATA Level I certification

  • Minimum 1 year experience supporting inspection/integrity activities in oil & gas live plant environments

  • Basic rescue awareness and strong HSE discipline for rope access operations

  • Additional certifications are an advantage (coating inspection / welding inspection exposure)

  • Computer literacy and basic reporting skills preferred

  • Good English is an advantage


Conditions

  • Resident position in Turkmenistan (full-time) with on-call readiness

  • Fixed monthly salary in USD

  • Visa/travel/accommodation/meals provided as per company policy

  • Home leave schedule to be agreed based on operational needs
