Logistics Specialist/Manager

      About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist/Manager to join our team and lead the launch of a new business function within our company. This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of logistics operations from the ground up, with a strong focus on international logistics between different countries.The right candidate will not only manage day-to-day logistics activities but also play a strategic role in building and growing this new function into a successful, independent business unit.

  Location: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

      Key Responsibilities
 

• Take full responsibility for setting up and managing the company’s new logistics operations.

• Plan, manage, and optimize logistics processes for both local and international shipments.

• Oversee customs clearance, freight forwarding, and cross-border compliance.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.

• Negotiate rates and contracts to ensure competitive costs and reliable service.

• Monitor and resolve shipment issues, delays, or disputes.

• Ensure compliance with international trade laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Collaborate closely with management to develop strategy, budgets, and growth plans for the new function.

• Implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce logistics costs.

      Requirements
 

• Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in international logistics and supply chain management.

• Strong network and connections within the logistics industry.

• Excellent knowledge of customs, international shipping procedures, and trade regulations.

• Languages: Fluent English and Russian (mandatory).

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and run operations independently.
