NDT Inspector

About the role

ES Depginli Adim is seeking a qualified NDT Inspector to support oil and gas projects in Turkmenistan, performing non-destructive testing and inspection activities for fabrication works at onshore and offshore facilities.


Position Overview:
The NDT Inspector will be responsible for witnessing and verifying NDT inspection work, reviewing test reports, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, inspection test plans, and international standards.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, procedures, ITP, and applicable international codes (IEC, ASME, API, AWS)

  • Witness NDT inspection work in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans (ITP)

  • Track and respond to Request for Inspection (RFI) notifications and perform inspections accordingly

  • Review, verify, and sign off NDT reports for radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and penetrant testing

  • Verify calibration and proper condition of contractor inspection tools and test equipment

  • Provide technical advice and support on NDT methods, applications, and limitations

  • Participate in project technical meetings and coordinate with QA/QC teams

  • Interpret radiographic films and ultrasonic test results

  • Supervise fabrication work and ensure quality standards are maintained

  • Perform daily surveillance activities and prepare comprehensive progress reports

  • Maintain strict adherence to site safety procedures and protocols


Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:

  • Minimum Diploma or Vocational certification in a relevant engineering discipline

Certification (must be current and valid):

  • CSWIP 3.4 or PCN/ASNT RI Level II (Radiographic Interpretation)

  • PCN/ASNT Level II certification for UT (Ultrasonic Testing) in accordance with SNT-TC-1A or equivalent

  • PCN/ASNT Level II certification for MT and PT (advantage)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of NDT inspection experience in oil and gas fabrication projects

  • Proven track record in radiographic testing and film interpretation

Technical Competencies:

  • Expertise in reviewing NDT test procedures and interpreting findings per codes and standards

  • Comprehensive knowledge of welding inspection and radiographic testing techniques

  • Understanding of welding fabrication techniques, basic metallurgy, and corrosion

  • Thorough knowledge of international standards: ASME VIII & IX, ASME/ANSI B31.3, AWS D1.1, API 1104, API 510, API 570, API 650, API 653, ASTM

  • Proficiency in reading mechanical catalogues, P&IDs, general arrangements, and related technical drawings

  • Strong understanding of inspection philosophy and quality control principles

  • Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills

  • Strong command of the English language (written and spoken)

Mandatory:

  • Valid Turkmenistan Work Permit
