Burun Field

Description

Under the set of contracts over the mentioned timeline, ESDA has been engaged to deliver Rig Maintenance Services for ENI Turkmenistan Limited across drilling and workover assets operating in the Burun Field. This includes Gara Altyn Rig, Hana Rig, and Workover Rigs XJ120, XJ100/1, and XJ100/2. The project scope encompasses complete mechanical and electrical maintenance of rig systems to ensure asset integrity, uptime, and operational safety.

The equipment covered under this contract includes Top Drive DQ70BSC units, Caterpillar diesel engines, Chidong diesel engines, and Allison transmission systems, as well as auxiliary rig and electrical systems. Services are carried out in strict adherence to API RP 7L, API RP 8B, ENI’s internal HSE frameworks, and Turkmenistan’s industrial safety and labor regulations.

Timeline

​Specialized Manpower Provision

  • Senior Rig Mechanics for engine overhauls, transmission alignment, and mechanical system diagnostics

  • Rig Mechanics for routine maintenance of rig pumps, drawworks, and auxiliary mechanical components

  • Electricians for troubleshooting and repair of low- and medium-voltage rig electrical systems

  • Top Drive Electronic Specialists for maintenance and calibration of DQ70BSC Top Drive systems

  • HSE Supervisors ensuring full compliance with ENI’s HSE Golden Rules and PTW systems

Maintenance of Key Equipment

  • Top Drive Systems: Inspection, diagnostics, lubrication, and calibration of DQ70BSC units

  • Engines:

    • Caterpillar Engines – maintenance of prime movers, cooling systems, and fuel subsystems

    • Chidong Engines – servicing, overhauling, and parts replacement

  • Transmission Units:

    • Allison Transmission Boxes – fluid change, control diagnostics, and clutch system calibration
