Tank Cleaning & Insulation

Internal Tank & Vessel Cleaning

Integrated tank/vessel internal cleaning and insulation/winterization services for onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities—supporting safe inspection, maintenance, and reliable operation during seasonal temperature changes.

Internal steam/water cleaning for tanks, separators, and process vessels, targeting removal of oily sand, wax, deposits, and solid rust from internal surfaces (bottom and shell). Work execution based on approved method statements, with strict confined-space controls and production-focused turnaround planning.

Main activities

  • Internal cleaning of tanks/vessels to remove deposits (oily sand, wax, solid rust)

  • Method statement / technical procedure development and approval before start

  • Continuous forced ventilation using explosion-proof fans throughout intervention

  • High-pressure pump cleaning and/or steam cleaning after solids removal

  • Confined space permit-to-work controls and safe entry management

  • Breathing apparatus with external fresh air supply for personnel working inside tanks

  • Waste handling using leak-proof containment (minimum 3 mm) and controlled transfer to designated disposal areas

  • Mobilization of required equipment and consumables (pumps, compressors, generators, lighting, tools)

Insulation & Winterization

Insulation services for vessels, heaters, separators, and piping systems in plant and field areas, applied for heat conservation and stabilized process temperature control during atmospheric temperature variation. Full supply of labor, materials, equipment, and site logistics for insulation works.

Partially insulated tank at ENI, Burun

Main activities

  • Detailed insulation procedure development and approval prior to commencement

  • Supply of labor, materials, and access equipment (scaffolding/manlift as required)

  • Insulation installation for vessels/heaters/separators/piping and field connections

  • Weatherproof sealing and cladding to protect insulation from water ingress

  • Material selection and installation methods defined with datasheets and fixing methodology

Typical materials

  • Glasswool blanket (50 mm thickness, aluminum foil facing)

  • Aluminum cladding coil (e.g., Alloy 3003 H14, ~1 mm thickness)

  • Stainless-steel wire mesh reinforcement (e.g., 316L) where required

Deliverables

  • Approved work method statements / procedures (cleaning and insulation)

  • Daily progress reporting and close-out documentation (as required)

  • Cleaning completion confirmation and waste transfer records

  • Insulation completion package (installed areas, materials, and handover documentation)
